DIANE GLANCY is a professor at Azusa Pacific University near Los Angeles.  Her latest collections of poetry, STORIES OF THE DRIVEN WORLD and IT WAS THEN, were published by Mammoth Press, Lawrence, Kansas, in 2010 and 2012.  Her latest collection of creative nonfiction, THE DREAM OF A BROKEN FIELD, was published in 2011 by the University of Nebraska Press.  In 2014, Nebraska will publish another book of nonfiction, THE FORT MARION PRISONERS AND THE TRAUMA OF EDUCATION.  Among Glancy's awards are two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships in poetry and an American Book Award from the Before Columbus Foundation.  The poem included here, "On a Lake Just Dammed," is part of a new chapbook, OSCIMAL AT FIRST LIGHT, which includes early missionary work among the Indians sheltered by contemporary pieces.  http://www.poetryfoundation.org/bio/diane-glancy DIANE GLANCY est professeur à l'université d'Azusa Pacific, à côté de Los Angele.
